The Jon-Tron Era!

It started well, with Jon and Arin playing games that one or the other had played before such as Jon’s “Banjo Kazooie” and Arin’s “MegaMan 7”, sometimes they would play games that they had both previously joined such as “Kirby Super Star”. Then the gaming expanded when they began to be sent games in their PO Box from fans more and more, meaning the amount of time that the pair put into videos prolonged as well as the amount of editing each video took. When GameGrumps began Jon would edit the videos and both Arin and Jon would share management duties. However, in late September of 2012, Barry joined the crew to edit videos to give Jon some time to focus on his main channel “JonTron”, at first Barry mimicked Jon’s style, but thankfully fans greeted him nicely. In January 2013, the Grumps went to their first convention together which shortly after started a new series called GuestGrumps with special guest Grant Kirkhope – a composer for many Rareware games. This was not to last, however… in June 25th 2013 it was announced that Jon was leaving the show and that Danny Sexbang of Ninja Sex Party was taking his place. Jon later stated on his own channel that he left to focus on his main channel  as the video schedule was slowing drastically due to GameGrumps; unfortunately Jon has confirmed several times that he won’t return to GameGrumps ever.
